Client FAQ

JDBC is a premier beauty concierge service. We connect high-profile clientele and corporations with vetted, elite beauty professionals — hair stylists (color, braids & locs, extensions, textured hair, wig application), makeup artists (editorial, bridal, airbrush, multi-tonal & inclusive beauty), barbers and men’s grooming specialists, nail technicians and nail artists, wardrobe stylists, and SFX artists skilled in prosthetics and body paint. From the first brief to final wrap, JDBC manages staffing, creative direction, scheduling, compliance, and logistics so you can focus on your production.
Every artist in our network is personally vetted by JDBC’s founding team, led by Jordana David with over 20 years of hands-on industry experience. We evaluate technical ability, professionalism, reliability, and range across diverse skin tones and hair textures. Our roster of 400+ professionals reflects a standard we’ve spent two decades building.
JDBC staffs productions across the United States and internationally. Our primary domestic markets include Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, Chicago, Nashville, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Boston. We also staff internationally, with experience in Paris, Rome, Zurich, and beyond. Travel logistics, accommodations, and ground transportation are coordinated by our team. If your production is in a market not listed, reach out — our roster travels.
Yes. JDBC manages all paperwork — NDAs, tax documents, call sheets, live hours tracking, overtime prevention, and centralized invoicing. We provide flexible payment options including deposits, petty cash, and net terms. Compliance and professionalism are built into every engagement.
Artist day rates cover a standard 12-hour production day. Extended hours are billed at 1.5x for hours 13–16 and 2x for hours 17 and beyond. JDBC’s agency fee — covering talent sourcing, vetting, contracts, and on-set coordination — is calculated as a percentage of total labor and confirmed in your production quote before any bookings are made.
Depending on your production, additional line items may include: kit fees (artist equipment and supplies), travel fees for productions outside the artist’s base market, and per diem for productions requiring overnight stays. All additional fees are itemized and approved in your quote — no surprises on the invoice.
Cancellation policies vary by production size and notice period and are outlined in your production contract. We strongly recommend booking with as much lead time as possible, as confirmed artists may decline other work to hold your dates.
Absolutely. While we recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance for standard productions and 6+ weeks for large-scale events, our rapid-response capability means we can mobilize a qualified team in as little as 48 hours. We understand that production timelines shift — flexibility is part of the service.
Our client roster includes Christian Louboutin, Burberry Beauty, L’Oreal, Max Mara, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ford Motor Company, TRESemme, Adidas, CoverGirl, NBC, ABC News, Johnson & Johnson, and many more. JDBC is trusted by the brands that set the standard — and we deliver accordingly.
